What are Chemical Peels?
Chemical peel treatments use chemical agents to promote cell turnover and skin exfoliation. Microdermabrasion also promote cell turnover but its manual exfoliation opposed to chemical exfoliation.
At Skintegrity, we're experts with all strengths of chemical peel treatments. We customize our services to the condition of your skin & your desired outcome. In some cases, your skin will peel following treatment but that isn't always necessary to achieve your desired results.
Why do we need chemical peels near me?
As humans, we shed our entire outer layer of skin every few weeks so we're constantly covered in dead skin cells. As we age, our bodies can't keep up with the dead skin turnover leading to dull and ruddy complexions, clogged pores, and as we all know, acne, pimples, blackheads, and worst of all, acne scars.

SubmitWhich chemical peel is best for you?
Believe it or not, facials are the most requested treatment and facials are the least effective of all non-invasive cosmetic treatments. Chemical peels are far more effective than facials and microdermabrasion, but far less effective than laser treatments. However, chemical peels are an excellent combination with laser treatments and actually make them more effective.
Superficial Peels
Light peels and mild peels are ideal for all skin types and they are the most commonly used. Mild superficial peels are perfect for facial polishing and almost never cause peeling. There's a common misconception if you don't peel it's not working but that is not accurate. Light peels can be very effective but work gradually. Light peels are great treatments when utilized at 2 week intervals with laser treatments because dead skin can impede the energy.
Medium Chemical Peels
Medium-strength peels can help with uneven skin tone, and in some cases, help with fine lines as well. Medium strength peels strip away damaged skin from both the epidermis and the dermis. Most patients experience some peeling, redness, and discoloration for a few days after the treatment. In almost all cases, medium strength chemical peels are not the best option for most skin conditions.
Deep Chemical Peels
Deep chemical peels penetrate deep into the treated skin reaching the innermost layers. Strong chemcial peels help with severely sun-damaged skin and can even help with pre-cancerous growths. They also help with fine line & wrinkles but laser skin treatments are the most effective option for concerns like acne scars & deep wrinkles. We are experts with all strength of chemical peels.
